Effective Time and Stress Management at Workplace

If you are employed (whether for yourself or other people) you’ve plausibly been bombarded with the importance of good workplace time management.  This facilitates you be more productive, earn more money and put hair on your chest (alright, perhaps the last was an overstatement, but you know what I mean).  But how do you know if you require to learn good time management exercises?  Possibly you’re doing alright after all.  Here’s how to know if your workplace time management is good.

If You Don’t Sleep

This is all of the time a pre indication of bad time management.  Maybe you are not sleeping for a variety of reasons, including opting not to sleep at least eight hours a night (or day, depending on when you work).  Not acquiring adequate rest not solely burdens your health (which consequences your productiveness), but you end up becoming easily troubled and arrive at poor choices.  Part of good workplace time management is catching some Z’s seven or eight hours in a row per twenty four.

If You Can’t Seem To Get Anything Done

Good workplace time management does not stand for frantically running about like a chicken with its head cut off every waking present moment.  It’s not about how many chores you’re juggling – it is just about how many you are able to fulfill. Part of good workplace time management is accepting a large task and breaking it down into smaller tasks.  You then take on the smaller tasks in order to get the overall large task done on time.

If You Can’t Say No

Part of good workplace time management is being capable to carry out tasks, as shown in the previous paragraph.  Even so, you work against yourself if you can not over learn to say “No.”  You will not be hit by lightning if you have to decline an assignment or a new task.  You may worry about offending other people by saying no, but don’t.  You’re not doing anybody any favor by undertaking a task you are too busy to execute with competence.

You do have to apply common sense when learning to say no to tasks.  You could have a job where you are not granted to say no to taking on certain tasks.  Hence, you have to then say no to other favors and commitments from acquaintances, family or organizations you volunteer for.   This might appear a little cold-blooded, but you cannot worry about satisfying everyone.  That’s simply impossible, it’s just not good workplace time management for your working or private life.
